Kissing Otters Necklace

Looking for a gift for your secret (or not so secret) crush? The kissing otter design is a reproduction that dates back to the time of "trade silver". Pendants, brooches and rings used to adorn clothing were traded and purchased from the late 1600s through the early 1800s. These items would be traded for furs, food, or building supplies and were a means of survival. 

Legend describes the Otter as a giver of great fortunes. Symbolicly the otter represents friendship, peace, family, kindness, social structure and a mischievous spirit. The otter glides through the waters and is a symbol of grace, empathy as well as happiness and never ending curiosity.
